In the heart of SoHo, NYC, a new cafe experience has emerged, transporting customers from the hustle and bustle of the city to a serene forest landscape. Coffee for Sasquatch NYC, designed by Dan Brunn Architecture, is a 600 square-foot haven that combines minimalist design with rich materials and textures, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
The moment customers step through the entry door, they are greeted by a custom wallpaper designed by Flavor Paper and artist James Jean, which reimagines the idea of the Sasquatch’s forest with oversized vines, leaves, and flowers. The interior design features a blend of natural materials, including custom terrazzo counters, walnut benches, and a golden ceiling, evoking the feeling of being enveloped in a forest canopy.

The cafe’s layout is carefully crafted to guide customers through the space, with soft lighting and hanging plants creating a sense of tranquility. The merchandise display, designed to be functional while looking minimal, separates the entry from the seating area, where curved wood chairs in dark green extend the forest theme.
Behind the bench, a 10-foot-tall Sasquatch mascot, made of custom cut acrylic and finished in gold, watches over customers as they enjoy their coffee. The coffee shop’s small items, such as tumblers and hats, are displayed on glass shelves, while larger clothing items are hung from the frame, which serves as a hanger.
