Chinese studio Wiki World has introduced the Oasis Cabin, a tranquil retreat nestled on a small islet within the expansive Wuhan Ganlushan Culture Creativity City, a vibrant cultural and tourism hub. The cabin is enveloped in a lush green facade that seamlessly merges with the surrounding lake, creating a perfect sanctuary for solitude and introspection.
Crafted from laminated wood and assembled using advanced digital fabrication techniques, the structure retains the natural texture of the forest while harmonizing beautifully with its environment. Access to this serene abode is exclusively by a small boat, with a personal dock serving as the gateway to its inviting interior.
Designed with the concept of an artist residency in mind, the cabin stands as a green exhibit of natural living. Here, inhabitants can walk barefoot, revel in the soothing sounds of birds and the gentle rustle of the wind, and embrace a more leisurely pace of life. Wiki World places a strong emphasis on sustainability in its construction practices, ensuring that each prefabricated wooden cabin is tailored to fit the original path and topography of the forest, thereby minimizing its environmental footprint.
The Oasis Cabin is part of the Island Living Plan, an initiative aimed at creating intimate island retreats that foster a deeper connection with nature. This sanctuary, designed for a single occupant, occupies nearly the entire islet and features two bedrooms and a living room linked by narrow corridors, providing each space with a unique sense of privacy.
