In the heart of Vilnius, the Lithuanian design firm October Design Studio has unveiled a remarkable transformation with the completion of the I.T. Small Apartment. This project showcases a gallery-inspired interior that masterfully balances minimalism with sophistication.
The predominant light grey palette envelops the main living spaces—hallway, kitchen, and living room—establishing a serene atmosphere. Complemented by an array of textures on the walls and floors, the design invites a captivating interplay of light and shadow, enriching the overall aesthetic.
One of the key features of this project is the semicircular, light blue natural stone bar. This bar serves as a focal point and adds a touch of elegance to the space. The use of natural stone adds a tactile element, further enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a sense of luxury. The addition of artworks from various artists will bring further richness and personality to the space, making it truly unique.
The bedroom and bathroom areas provide a contrast to the grey communal areas. They feature a predominantly white color palette with a few accent hues. This creates a sense of tranquility and purity in these private spaces. The shower area in the bathroom presents a particularly interesting element, showcasing tiles created by FormaFantasma design studio. These tiles are coated in volcanic ash glaze, adding an artistic expression both visually and through the sense of touch. They add a sense of sophistication and creativity to the space.
The small yet cozy bedroom stands out with its light colors and functional design. The bed and wardrobe are crafted as a unified piece, ensuring practicality and aesthetic cleanliness. The headboard’s color echoing the tiles in the bathroom creates a subtle connection between the spaces, creating a cohesive and harmonious design throughout the apartment.
Stainless steel details are used throughout the entire apartment, including furniture elements, shelves, and accessories. This unifying element brings a sense of modernity and visual coherence to the space. It adds a touch of sleekness and provides a striking contrast to the softer tones used in the rest of the design. The use of stainless steel also adds a sense of durability and longevity to the space, making it timeless and enduring.
